Road tolls to be collected via the Paysera payment gateway

#
The fintech company Paysera has won the public tender “E-payment service for a road user charge” announced by the State Enterprise Lithuanian Road Administration.
“Collection of tolls is of strategic importance to the state. Thus, we appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the collection of road charges in our country,” says Vytenis Morkūnas, the CEO of Paysera LT. “We are an international payment gateway provider offering client support in 14 languages, and therefore we will ensure that we are available both to our clients and e-vignette buyers, i.e. transport companies.
According to V. Morkūnas, the payment gateway solution selected by the Administration is not geographically limited to Lithuania, so e-vignettes will be also available online to companies in Latvia, Estonia, and other countries.
Carriers will be able to pay for e-vignettes by initiating payments from their account (an Open Banking-based payment method) and with Visa and Mastercard payment cards.
Paysera, a payment processor for over 13,000 e-shops, has concluded a €130,000 agreement after winning a public tender.
At the beginning of the year, Paysera also won the Lithuanian Post’s tender for processing payments at LP Express self-service parcel terminals.
